This week’s featured item is my favorite deal Walt Disney World does. It’s FREE Disney Dining for 2009. They have done this for at least the past 4 years, always around the same time of the year, and so far I’ve had the pleasure of going twice during that time, and by the end of this year, three times!!

What is FREE Disney Dining 2009 you ask? Well, it’s when you stay on property, and buy at least a 1-day park pass, and they give you your food for free! REALLY. That’s not a joke. For each night you stay, you’ll get a free counter service meal, a free table service meal, and a snack.

If you were to pay for the Disney Dining Plan, it would cost $39.99 per adult…but from August 16th – October 3rd this year, you’ll pay absolutely nothing. This goes for everyone in your party as well. It doesn’t matter what level room you have, so you can stay in a value resort and still take advantage of the deal. That’s what we did in 2005 and 2007, and what we’re doing this year as well.

Just to give you an idea of exactly how much food this is, for your counter service meal, it’s an entree, side, dessert, and non alcoholic drink.  For your table service meal, it’s also an entree, side, dessert, and non alcoholic drink.  You also get a snack each day as well.  To make the most of our savings, we brought breakfast with us (poptarts) and ate in the room, and then had lunch and dinner on the meal plan, along with our snack each day.  We were NEVER hungry…and were often quite full!

It was a lot of fun, and really made for a stress free vacation.  I recommend it to anyone who is thinking about going to Walt Disney World, but wants to save money.  You’ll be surprised at how much you get for your money.
